It might have corrupted a file you need to connect to the internet. I know I got that antivirus2008 thing that was going around and I had to reformat my computer plus get a new network card and called my internet provider. They refreshed my modem and here I am!

if you have the two television icon or something like that icon on the taskbar click it and click the limited yada yada you would come up with a new window click view status then diagnose then reset… or search in controlpannel the internet options then network and sharing center…

or reinstall modem or use the system restore start programs accessories system tools then restore it at a very early time…

    or format the computer

Not a problem! You need to reset your Network card and also your router or DSL. Its a common problem, where the connection gets misconfigured.

First option is to open the Network Connections folder on the desktop and take a look at the connection icons there. Right-clik on the icon and choose repair. This should automatically reset and correct the connection to your ISP.

Second option is to unplug your modem or DSL, wait about 30 seconds and plug back in. Wait for all the lights to stop flashing and try connection to the net again.

    The last option is:
Go to your Controls Panel and clik on the Programs folder, in there you clik Hardware, then Device Manager. You will see a list of installed hardware on a drop-down list. high-lite Network Adopter and right-click, choose uninstall. Afterwards, close and restart computer. The System will automatically re-install the drivers for the Network card after start-up. This should reset your connection setting and get you back online.
